Necrosexual presents new tunes of doom with SLASHERS and BOOK OF WYRMS

It's always Friday in HELL. Here are a few of the grimmest new releases from the Necrosexual's heavy metal homies.

NYC crossover skater-punks SLASHERS debut their self-titled record today!
Their animated music video "5 Mile Grind" will speak to your most rambunctious youthful energy. I admit, I was never cut out for skateboarding, but I'm thankful for bands like Slashers, because this is the musical equivalent of skating the gnarliest half pipe, and probably also wiping out and breaking a few bones in the process. Their music is full of twists and turns, skrapes and bumps. It's infectiously catchy and a living testament to New York City's most violent hardcore and thrash heritage.

If ever their was a band who needed an inverted cross made out of skateboards for their stage show, it's these guys.

Check out their twisted animated video below. You'll be yelling "THRASH N BURN" as you mosh in no time.

BOOK OF WYRMS Remythologizer via Twin Earth Records

Richmond space stoners Book Of Wyrms are back with the pre-order for their new album, available August 23. Their new song "Spirit Drifter" is the perfect soundtrack for spiraling through the cosmos pn a n quest to feed your interdimensional munchies.

These space cadets pulsate with fat-ass bass tone, MOOG-inspired synth melodies, and powerful vocals akin to Kate Bush.

To those unfamiliar, Book Of Wyrms' 2017 album Sci-Fi / Fantasy made good on its name with an epic dose of doom, to blast your synapses into interstellar overdrive.

Interview with Pan-Amerikan Native Front

War is coming! Pan-Amerikan Native Front is among the fierce bands who lead the charge of in digenous black metal in the Americas. This group is fronted by its enigmatic chief, Kurator of War. Their 2016 full length Tecumseh's War  beats like a war club through the life and conflict of its namesake. Earlier this year, Pan-Amerikan Native Front released the Native Amerikan Black Metal split w ith the Ifernach, which is already sold out of of vinyls their bandcamp . Behold this interview I conducted with Kurator Of War.  Tecumseh's War was inspired by the life of Tecumseh, and it's a blistering musical journey. What was your inspiration for the Native Amerikan Black Metal split, lyrically, thematically and musically? The split album continued to retain a conceptual and storytelling approach, much like Tecumseh's War, and with a similar range of songwriting styles I implemented with the previous album. When Ifernach and I began focusing on themes we naturally landed on ...

Blacker than black: MORA PROKAZA interview

Newly-signed Season of Mist artists Mora Prokaza boldly call themselves new school black metal. A google translation reveals their name roughly means "sea of leprosy," a fitting term for their visceral assault. Mora Prokaza spit lyrical venom in their native tongue, with hip hop swagger and gold chains. It's a drastic departure from traditional corpse paint and spikes. Their music video "Blacker Than Black" is an in-your-face declaration of war, presented in black and white tones. Hatestorm, one half of these toxic twins, possesses a striking appearance and physical intensity, reminiscent of The Prodigy's Keith Flint. His bandmate, Farmakon, appears with his face covered in gauze, licking up a disgusting, dark fluid.  I  recommend turning on the Youtube subtitles to soak in their poetic poison. While it might not be a perfect translation, it gets the point across, like a stiletto through the lungs.  This Belarusian duo are dripping with nihilism, darkness...

Interview with SODOM's Tom Angelripper

"It's time to die!"  Nearly 40 years since their formation, Sodom proves their metal attack gets nastier with each year. Their upcoming album Genesis XIX is a thoroughly headbanging affair. It marks the return of guitarist Frank Blackfire, who shredded on their landmark albums Persecution Mania (1987) and 89's  Agent Orange, as well as the addition of second guitarist Yorck Segatz, for Sodom's first run as a quartet.  Genesis XIX delivers the heavy artillery one expects from Sodom. It's got the punk influence on it's catchy single "Sodom and Gomorrah", reminiscent of their original, dearly departed drummer Chris Witchhunter (RIP). Songs like "Dehumanized" and "Nicht Meir Mein Land" feature blast beats from their new drummer Toni Merkel, with the latter sinking into an infectiously groovy mid-tempo swagger. Vocalist and bassist Tom Angelripper is the driving force of Sodom. His raspy vocals and distorted bass are the centerpiec...
